To make sense of recent upheavals in the world economy and shed light on what may happen next, the HKUST Business School / NYU Stern School of Business are collaborating with South China Morning Post and the Treasury Markets Association to organize a special Global Finance Seminar Series.
At each event, distinguished speakers and academics and global thought leaders share updates and analysis, impart insights and perspectives, as well as predict trends and developments.
During the height of the global financial crisis, the central government unveiled a 4 trillion yuan stimulus package. However, the prospects for the mainland’s equity and assets markets looked anything but certain. At our upcoming events, the keynote speaker will join some other professionals in investigating the impact of the mainland’s stimulus package and other economic measures. Specific topics covered will include market valuations and economic policies, and whether excess liquidity is actually creating, rather than resolving, China’s market “bubbles”.
