The HKUST Business Insights Presentation Series

- Making Academic Research Accessible

Invitation

The HKUST Business School is proud to present the HKUST Business Insights Presentation Series and invites your attendance.

To be launched in December 2009, this series will feature a monthly luncheon talk in the School's center in the Hong Kong Club Building in Central. On each occasion, two professors from the School will make presentation based on rigorous academic research and offer insights on topical issues.

The first talk will feature Sudipto Dasgupta and Jie Gan of the Finance Department.

Prof. Dasgupta will offer his views on CEO remuneration. He will touch upon the following questions:

-  Why has CEO pay increased so much?
-  Is incentive pay creating better incentives?
-  Should we try to reform pay growth?

Prof. Gan will talk about how the bursting of housing bubbles can have a lasting effect on the economy and the implication of such an effect for today's financial markets.
